The Erfocentrum is the Dutch national genetic resource and information centre. It provides information on genetics, congenital en hereditary conditions, pregnancy and perinatal care and medical biotechnology through various websites, brochures and events. People can also contact the Erfocentrum directly for personal queries by e-mail and telephone.
The Erfocentrum gives information to the general public as well as specific target groups, such as high risk groups, pregnant people, children and medical professionals.
By providing objective and reliable information, the Erfocentrum supports people in making informed choices regarding their own health and the health of their children. The Erfocentrum also helps people in forming their own personal opinions about social and ethical aspects of genetics and biomedical issues.
