KBiosciences provides both SNP genotyping as a service as well as a full solution platform (called SNPline) for High Throughput SNP genotyping. SNPline is based on a combination of innovative chemistry (called KASP), equipment and software. As a service we process >1,000,000 datapoints per day in 384 & 1536 MTP and have processed >450 million singleplex genotypes.
KBiosciences also sells the Covaris ultra-sound based gold standard instrumentation for DNA-shearing applications in Next-Gen-Sequencing: the Covaris Adaptive Focused Acoustics (AFA) DNA-shearing technology. AFA technology also empowers many other scientific disciplines to develop new processes using isothermal and non-contact processes, including acoustic homogenization. Main applications for the AFA technology in biology are DNA shearing, tissue and cell disruption (DNA, RNA, protein and biomarker extractions).
