Commercialisation of the high quality Dutch research taking place in Leiden is a key priority for both Leiden University and Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). Not only is the research activity itself strengthened,
but also the output can be effectively utilized by society for economic and clinical benefit. Novel innovation and exciting research partnerships are fostered with companies around the world. At the heart of a top European Bio Science Park, researchers from the university, hospital and industry work in close collaboration generating top quality opportunities and products for the global biopharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical sectors. The role of LURIS is to facilitate this process for the University and LUMC.
