U-Protein Express
U-Protein Express BV specializes in the production and purification of recombinant proteins. We have developed a universal expression pipeline in mammalian cells, Pichia pastoris and Escherichia coli. This pipeline enables rapid production of research grade recombinant proteins in pre-clinical amounts.
Mammalian expression is performed in the transient, serum-free suspension HEK293-E expression platform. Protein production is fast, from gene to purified protein in 5 to 6 weeks and the platform is suitable for high throughput applications. Production levels are typically between 5-20 mg/l but 50 – 100 mg/l levels are no exception. We have used the HEK293-E platform for successful production of recombinant antibodies. Protein purification can be performed on an Akta-purification platform.
Crystallization grade mammalian proteins are produced with our adapted HEK293ES cell line. We have been working successfully as a service provider for several biotech companies and many academic research groups. Results obtained through our services have been used in patent applications and are published in high-ranking scientific journals.
